3MATTERS ARISING
Website    This is now substantially finished with minor tweaks,  minutes etc have been transferred.  Cllrs approved of the new layout.  Cllrs agreed to a schedule for contributions to keep it lively and up to date.  Action Clerk.  Cllrs agreed that the launch should be ‘soft’ – on village social media.
Footpath restoration  After canvassing residents, it was agreed all in favour to pursue the name plates, but not to restore Haslin Slack because it is a nature habitat, is not used (because the exit on the Hathersage road is unsafe) and would need to be maintained for no purpose.  Cllr Erskine agreed to look further into name plate signs for Haslin Slack and Stoney Bank in the first instance.  Action Cllr Erskine.
DCC PLACE active travel consultation       Flooding issues                             Network Rail     John Whitby visit               Projects                 Archive                     Leam Lane Quiet LaneClerk reported that the agreed response had been submitted via the questionnaire and circulated to Cllrs.       Two new flood wardens had been found, Chris Owen and Sam Marsh.  Clerk had put them into the PC insurance, with asssurances that they would attend flood warden training at DCC, which they now have.  Cllr Hutchinson advised against waders as they can fill.  The flood report is being finalised and will be available at the next meeting.  Action Clerk.  Cllrs agreed all in favour that we could share it with NALC.  Clerk had met Angela Darlington from Castleton and next steps are for her to speak to her Council and investigate insurance.  Clerk to progress Action Clerk.    Chair had written to Cllr Flitter at DDDC asking for an update on any progress.    Confirmed with JW office for 8 November, Clerk has set up a working group of residents to help, with a set up meeting tba with John Baily chair of the GPFA.  The visit will start at the shop, and showcase Grindleford businesses before a 45 minute Q&A at the Pavilion.   1.30 – 3 pm.   The Chair invited proposals for projects in order to create an ongoing list.  Submission were Footpath signs (already agreed), repairs to the War Memorial proposed by the Chair (funding from the War Memorial Trust to be investigated Action Clerk), archive furniture, and restoration of the trough on Leam Lane (proposed by Cllr O’Brien).    Cllrs agreed that this should be pursued.  Clerk had spoken to the vicar who was in favour as long as it was kept current and used.  Cllrs agreed that a piece of heritage furniture designed by Grindleford designer Andrew Lawson would be appropriate and would consider funding for it.  Clerk to contact PCC and Andrew Lawson and determine if anyone in the village has archive experience.  Action Clerk.   Cllrs agreed all in favour that this should be taken forward.  Clerk to speak to Alisdair Sutton and a Bakewell resident David Locke and update Council at next meeting.  Action Clerk.
4OTHER MATTERS
Police report at meetings  Clerk proposed that monthly attendance was too much of a drain on police time.  Chair to write requesting regularly quarterly attendance and reports which focused on Grindleford alone.  Action Chair
Village gates  It was becoming increasingly likely that Highways permission was not likely to be granted.  There was a proposal to abandon the project, but Cllr Hart felt strongly that as so many people had been generous with their time and matched funding in kind, further effort was required, perhaps an installation in the village.  Cllr Erskine offered to draft a message to those who had contributed explaining the situation.   Action Cllr Erskine.
E newsletter                     Clerk reported that the e-newletter, which reports back to the grindleparish@gmail.com email, was emerging as a village diary for events now that the Grindleford News had changed its character.  All in favour of this development.
20s Plenty stickers  Cllr Hart has any number at her house and will get them to the Clerk.  Action Cllr Hart.
Stand at Hortisoc  This had been an unexpected success.  Chair proposed that it should become formalised into an annual event and planned further in advance.  Action clerk idc.
Parishes Day  11 October at Aldern House.  Clerk to circulate more details.  Action Clerk.
5PLANNING MATTERS
