{"id":5401,"date":"2026-02-17T11:01:31","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T11:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/?page_id=5401"},"modified":"2026-02-17T11:02:01","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T11:02:01","slug":"minutes-of-meeting-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-of-meeting-december-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of meeting December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>GRINDLEFORD PARISH COUNCIL \u2013 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 11 DECEMBER 2025 AT 7.15 PM IN THE PAVILION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present:&nbsp; Andrew Battarbee (chair), Elizabeth Coe, Anwen Fryer Burrows, Hilary Hart, Peter O\u2019Brien, Esther Stewart, Ray Whiteley.&nbsp; District Cllr Simon Ripton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public session.&nbsp; Andrew Finch attended the meeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>COUNTY COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT<\/td><td>Cllr Sutton had been in correspondence about flooding at Scotts Close and the bus stops by Mount Pleasant.&nbsp;&nbsp; Cllr Sutton was pushing the County Council for a response on both issues, with some degree of success. &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>DISTRICT COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT &nbsp;<\/td><td>Under discussion at DDDC are homes for traveller families, free parking over the festive period and a push for train and bus travel. &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>POLICE REPORT&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/td><td>None, PC Boswell had replied to the Clerk\u2019s email about quarterly attendance with apologies.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td><strong>Agenda Item<\/strong> <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Decision<\/strong> <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1<\/td><td>Apologies &nbsp;<\/td><td>Cllr Erksine, Cllr Hutchinson &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/td><td>These were agreed as a true record, Pro RW sec HH, with the amendment that DDDC did <em>not<\/em> accept the case for change for local government reform.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>MATTERS ARISING &nbsp;<\/td><td>&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>Response to the Local Plan preferred approaches &nbsp;<\/td><td>See separate sheet<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>Footpath restoration &nbsp;<\/td><td>It was agreed all in favour to purchase polyurethane signs.&nbsp; They are cheaper and likely to be more sustainable in the long run.&nbsp; Clerk to check land ownership before buying.
