{"id":5205,"date":"2025-09-10T14:23:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/?page_id=5205"},"modified":"2025-09-10T14:23:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:23:00","slug":"minutes-of-the-meeting-june-2025","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-of-the-meeting-june-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of the meeting June 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a><\/a><strong>GRINDLEFORD PARISH COUNCIL \u2013 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON 12 June 2025 AT 7 PM IN THE PAVILION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present:&nbsp; Elizabeth Coe (Chair), Simon Hutchinson, Esther Stewart, Ray Whiteley, Alex Erskine, Hilary Hart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apologies: Andrew Battarbee, Peter O\u2019Brien, Anwen Fryer Burrows<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>COUNTY COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT \u2013 Cllr Sutton sent apologies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>DISTRICT COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT \u2013 none.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>POLICE REPORT \u2013 none.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These were agreed as a true record, a comment by Cllr Erskine had been corrected prior to the meeting.&nbsp; Pro AE sec HH .&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>MATTERS ARISING<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village Gates.&nbsp; <\/strong>Cllr Erskine gave a report.&nbsp; It was agreed to include the item on the next agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Website \u2013<\/strong> parishcouncilwebsites had not finalised the draft new website (but had done some good work copying minutes over in a more presentable form than they are currently, for which they have been thanked.) It was felt that leaving a discussion to the July meeting would probably be advantageous to everyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bank account actions.<\/strong>&nbsp; All completed, with thanks to all Cllrs involved.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>OTHER MATTERS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Footpath restoration.<\/strong>&nbsp; The restoration and recognition of the local pathways in the village also to return to the agenda in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insurance.<\/strong>&nbsp; It was agreed all in favour to pay the 2025 sub.&nbsp; It has gone up to \u00a3674 from \u00a3606.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Newsletter<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp; The editor was congratulated for the latest newsletter.&nbsp; The merit of having the News in hard copy as well online was recognised.&nbsp; There was a discussion about timings, deadlines, length of contributions and different approaches to advertising events in a WhatsApp world, and AE agreed to take these to the Editor for further consideration. &nbsp;There may be an offer on the table of a group to support the editor and stand in if necessary.
