Some three bed semis for growing families and downsizing older couples are needed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Helen did not think this was the sort of thing her Association could help with, but we were pleased to get her contact details for future reference if needed.<\/i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>APOLOGIES<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Cllr Sutton, PC Anthony Boswell. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol><li>COUNTY COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT \u2013 there was none as Cllr Sutton had given his apologies, but he had confirmed that he has allocated a further \u00a3200 to Grindleford to complete the phonebox and for the Jubilee, details to follow. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>DISTRICT COUNCILLOR\u2019S REPORT \u2013 in re BBQs on the moorland, the DCC had agreed to monitor activities and outcomes for six months to assess the problem.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Ditto dog fouling.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Families hosting Ukrainian refugees get support eg a dispensation on Council tax, and there is debate about extending this to all families hosting refugees from any nation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>APB asked what the rationale was for keeping dispensations only to families hosting people from Ukraine.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Civic Chair came to welcome Grindleford\u2019s first refugee family.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Once other families have arrived, the PC might like to hold some sort of reception.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Council is assessing the feasibility of bringing refuse collection back in house.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Perhaps to share with another Council.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The contract with Serco could be ended because they are in default.<\/li><\/ol><p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li>POLICE REPORT \u2013 there was none, PC Boswell had reported no crime in the area. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was agreed to press PC Boswell about new speed cameras. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"4\"><li>MINUTES OF LAST MEETING<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>P\u2019OB clarified that it was PDNPA who approved Newfoundland Nurseries, not Eyam PC. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A mistake on the date of the next meeting was rectified.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They were agreed as a true record pro JSM sec JRM. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"5\"><li>MATTERS ARISING:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p>20s Plenty stickers \u2013 HH kindly agreed to get some, 90 was the agreed number.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There was discussion about what constituted private property in the wake of advice from DCC about where they could be sighted. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Queen\u2019s Jubilee and phone box update \u2013 Clerk gave an update.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The map would not be completed in time so Clerk would arrange to get a temporary one done.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Work on the information and photo panels was progressing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Fitting out was going well.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Clerk presented a mini-budget of income and expenditure for the box and Jubilee which was agreed by Council.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This will be transferred to the main budget.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was decided to manage without the Jubilee mugs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>By agreement the idea of a bar was shelved.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>JRM finally has the memory stick with old photographs; the light panels above the phonebox have been ordered in accordance with Cllrs\u2019 earlier agreement; Clerk still pursuing the lit beacon idea. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Deer signs \u2013 DCC have advised that we cannot have any, and visitors to the Park should know that there are likely to be deer and drive cautiously.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Agreed that RW would write back. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Website article \u2013 Cllrs were content with RW\u2019s draft of the first monthly article from Council, and JRM was happy to put it on the website. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Puddle by Old Post Office \u2013Clerk will contact DCC.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>There is no map of where the drains run, but RW was able to make a sketch.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>SIDS.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was unanimously agreed that these were prohibitively expensive, but that didn\u2019t mean that problems with traffic speed and noise had gone away, particularly at the Calver end of the village and at Stoke.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>RW to write to Cllr Sutton and invite him to visit us on a sunny weekend day, to experience the problem at first hand.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was also agreed to invite the Police Commissioner to one of the Parish Council meetings.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A recording of some of the bike noise would also be helpful, although nobody was identified to action this.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was agreed that static signs would be worth investigating further. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>P\u2019OB added an item, Severn Trent are replacing the current pumping station with one by Folds Farm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He will get in touch.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"6\"><li>FLOODING \u2013 NEW STANDING ITEM<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p>Sewage in the rivers \u2013 HH spoke about information on the amount of sewage in rivers, including the Derwent, because of storm drain overflow.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was agreed that this was unacceptable. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>HH to contact the village river WhatsApp group (Clerk to supply details). <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Review of village meeting and progressing actions \u2013 Clerk had drafted a summary the village meeting on flooding, and which actions were for the Parish Council to pursue.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>At the June meeting it would be helpful if Cllrs could volunteer to take on responsibility for the actions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was agreed to set up a working group of one or two Parish Council members, and interested residents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>EA had promised to contact Severn Trent about removing the debris by the pipe.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Clerk to chase. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>CLIMATE EMERGENCY DECLARATION STANDING ITEM<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Review of Action Plan.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Again, Clerk had drafted a summary of actions, and volunteers, mostly to act as liaison points for work which is already going on, would be helpful. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"7\"><li>HIGHWAY MATTERS<\/li><\/ol><p>SIDS (speed indicator devices)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was agreed that these were too expensive, and there were no suitable lampposts to affix them to.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This didn\u2019t solve the problem of motorbikes speeding through Stoke, or cars speeding down from Hathersage past the school, although parking opposite the Maynard had done wonders for speeding down from Fox House.<span
