{"id":1088,"date":"2020-08-14T10:23:09","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T10:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/?page_id=1088"},"modified":"2020-08-14T11:02:37","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T11:02:37","slug":"minutes-of-meeting-october-10th-2019","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-of-meeting-october-10th-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of Meeting, October 10th 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u>GRINDLEFORD PARISH COUNCIL \u2013 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>10 October 2019&nbsp;at 7.30pm IN THE BISHOP PAVILION.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Present:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;Robert Wilson, Chairman; Andrew Battarbee, Elizabeth Coe, Hilary Hart, John Mottershaw, Rob Tamlyn, Ray Whiteley.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sarah Battarbee, Clerk.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apologies:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;John Morton and Peter O\u2019Brien.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>County Councillor\u2019s report.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;Cllr Twigg reported that there had been no action on the quiet lane proposal.&nbsp;&nbsp;She had chased progress on the 30 mph sign, and the foliage cut-back, and wold check again.&nbsp;&nbsp;Clerk also to contact the County Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>District Councillor\u2019s report.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;PO\u2019B sent written comments, which are substantively covered elsewhere.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Police report<\/strong>.\u00a0There was none.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.  <strong>Minutes\u00a0<\/strong>of the last meeting had been circulated to all members before the meeting.\u00a0\u00a0They were Pro AB sec JRM as being a true record approved and signed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Matters arising.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Charging points.&nbsp;&nbsp;There was no appetite to set up a working party to look further into this, because of the lack of local authority land and issues with electricity supply, so it was agreed that the Council would not respond to the initiative for recharging points in villages.&nbsp;&nbsp;All in favour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Toilet twinning.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Council agreed that under \u2018the free resource\u2019 provision expenditure of \u00a360 to raise awareness of issues for our school children was appropriate.&nbsp;&nbsp;Agreed the Council would put forward \u00a360 and Councillors would at their own discretion contribute \u00a37 each to the clerk, to buy a second toilet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Chair thanked those Councillors who had attended the&nbsp;climate change actionevent.&nbsp;&nbsp;They reported that it had been interesting and pledged future support for the tree plantation if it happens, including \u00a3100 towards trees&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Phone box\u2013 it was agreed in principle that the Parish Council will adopt the box, but there was more research to be done to ensure it was not too big a burden in terms of time and money to maintain it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Planning matters.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NP\/DDD\/0919\/1036<\/strong>Grindlehulme, Commercial Road.&nbsp;&nbsp;S73 application for the removal or variation of condition 2 on NP\/WED\/1194\/510.&nbsp;&nbsp;No objections Pro EC sec RT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NP\/DDD\/0619\/0679&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Fiveways.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Cllr O\u2019Brien had written to the Peak Park chasing progress.&nbsp;&nbsp;A new application has been submitted with the reference&nbsp;<strong>NP\/DDD\/1019\/1110<\/strong>which will be discussed at the November meeting.&nbsp;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Highways&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pavement by the traffic lights has subsided.&nbsp;The pavement by the War Memorial is damaged (now fixed).&nbsp;&nbsp;The 30 mph sign is still broken despite frequent reminders.
