{"id":1086,"date":"2020-08-14T10:22:46","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T10:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/?page_id=1086"},"modified":"2020-10-09T09:52:00","modified_gmt":"2020-10-09T09:52:00","slug":"minutes-of-meeting-september-12th-2019","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grindlefordparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-of-meeting-september-12th-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of Meeting, September 12th 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u>GRINDLEFORD PARISH COUNCIL \u2013 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>12 September&nbsp;at 7.30pm IN THE BISHOP PAVILION.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presentation by Gill Hutchinson about the toilet twinning initiative.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gill asked the Council whether they would be prepared to put forward \u00a360 plus \u00a33 for postage in order to twin a toilet.&nbsp;&nbsp;The location of the twinned toilet could be anywhere in the world, Gill outlined the enormous health benefits to those communities with this simple donation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gill offered to match whatever donation the Parish Council felt able to make.&nbsp;&nbsp;A block of six toilets costs \u00a3240.&nbsp;&nbsp;Discussion about the presentation is covered under item&nbsp;below.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Present:<\/strong>&nbsp;Elizabeth Coe, Acting Chairman; Andrew Battarbee, Hilary Hart, John Mottershaw, Peter O\u2019Brien, Rob Tamlyn, Ray Whiteley.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sarah Battarbee, Clerk.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apologies<\/strong><a><strong>:<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;John Morton and Robert Wilson.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>County Councillor\u2019s report<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Cllr Twigg spoke about the quiet lane initiative and the street light outside the school in Grindleford<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2.  <strong>District Councillor\u2019s report.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;P O\u2019B reported no activity for this period.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.  <strong>Police report<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;There was none.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Minutes&nbsp;<\/strong>of the last meeting had been circulated to all members before the meeting.&nbsp;They were Pro HH Sec PO\u2019B as being a true record approved and signed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Matters arising.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Following on from PC Boswell\u2019s report of damage to a bench at the previous meeting, HH reported some thefts at Stoke, from a car and a stable block.&nbsp;&nbsp;She stressed the need for residents to lock their property.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Charging points:&nbsp;&nbsp;this Council\u2019s response to the County Council\u2019s initiative was considered again.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is an important issue but there are many difficulties.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was agreed to take it forward to the next meeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Climate Change Action meeting \u2013 Parish Councillors agreed to attend if they could.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.  <strong>Planning Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>NP\/DDD\/0619\/0682&nbsp;<\/strong>Leam Farm, unnamed road from junction leading to Torr Farm to Sir William Hill.&nbsp;&nbsp;Erection of a general purpose agricultural building, for storage of hay straw and fodder.&nbsp;&nbsp;Request for further support.&nbsp;&nbsp;Recommend approval.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>NP\/DDD\/0619\/0679&nbsp;<\/strong>Fiveways Maynard Road Grindleford.&nbsp;Removal or variation of conditions 2 and 3.&nbsp;&nbsp;Withdrawal of application.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Noted.&nbsp;PO\u2019B said it was important to insist on enforcement of the conditions within a reasonable timescale.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7.  Highways<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Yellow lines at the Longshaw junction.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Clerk undertook to find out what was the process for this and see if any progress can be made.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8.  Correspondence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A letter from a resident affected by new works to the railway line has been responded to.&nbsp;&nbsp;Network Rail and the Buckingham Group have held a public meeting with those living nearby.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Phone box:&nbsp;&nbsp;a notice has gone up about the phone box in the village.&nbsp;&nbsp;Unless it can be adopted for \u00a31 by a group or individual it will be removed.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is in a parlous state and will need some money spending in it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Whoever takes it on will be responsible for ongoing maintenance.&nbsp;A letter from BT setting out the conditions of taking the box on is awaited.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;9.
